Back pain eased by spinal manipulation

Major study reveals the REAL cure for back pain

Maybe today is Opposite Day… because two new studies just out prove that the real answer for back pain isn’t in what the mainstream’s pushing.

It’s the OPPOSITE!

For years now, docs have played the phony outrage game.

When a patient says he’s going to try spinal manipulation from a chiropractor or an osteopathic doctor, they cry in outrage.

“That doesn’t work!” they insist. “Try this instead!”

“This” of course is a pill, and the drugs of choice for back pain in recent years have been anticonvulsants such as gabapentin.

Well, friend, the new studies flip those both around.

They prove you need the opposite approach: The drugs DON’T work, but the soothing crack of spinal manipulations from an osteopathic doctor DO!

First up is a new study that looks at YEARS of research on popular anticonvulsant drugs for back pain.

Combined, the data from nine “gold standard” trials – randomized and placebo-controlled – contained 15 comparisons for pain and disability in folks with low back or lumbar radicular pain.

The drugs “worked” in just one of them.

Along with NOT getting relief from your screachin’ spine, you could experience something even worse than back pain: The drugs can make you dizzy and drowsy, with some reports of mental problems including suicide ideation.

The study is new, but the data inside it isn’t. These studies have been out there for years. Mainstream docs KNOW this, or at the very least SHOULD know this.

Yet they’ve been giving the drugs out like they’re on commission, with the use of anticonvulsants jumping nearly six times over the past decade… while at the same time SNEERING at anyone who tries natural treatment such as spinal manipulation.

Guess what?

Time to sneer back – because a second new study PROVES those back-cracking techniques from an osteopathic doctor work like a charm.

Specifically, it looked at both “normal” spinal manipulation as well as a technique that also works on the diaphragm muscle just below your chest.

Both worked well: Patients enjoyed pain relief as well as lower levels of disability, fear, pain avoidance, anxiety, and depression.

And in both cases, the relief lasted for weeks after the treatment ended.

But the technique with the diaphragm actually worked better overall, with patients getting more pain relief and bigger benefits by those other measures as well.

That’s not the only drug-free technique that works, either.

Acupuncture and massage therapy can also give you lasting relief. And if you’d rather try stuff on your own at home, heating pads and natural anti-inflammatories such as topical MSM can work wonders.
